Yesterday, the Saint Bridget School 7th and 8th grade classes presented their research on a historical topic of their choosing to their younger peers at the school’s bi-annual History Fair.
Students explored a wide range of interesting topics, and their presentations demonstrated a solid understanding of their research as well as creativity in how they delivered the information. The event not only highlighted students’ hard work, but also provided a valuable opportunity for younger students to learn from, and be inspired by, their peers.
Using a detailed rubric to guide their work, students demonstrated strong research, organization, and public speaking skills throughout the process. In addition to presenting, students were also responsible for submitting an MLA-formatted written report.
In the days leading up to the fair, students presented their research to their classmates, who enjoyed learning about each other’s topics.
